Icy Purple Head Game Description
The Icy Purple Head game is an immensely light-hearted, skill building game, physics-based puzzle adventure where you are made to take care of the purple block known as Purple Head and thus, you have to drop the purple block in the safe delivery box. The main problem is figuring out how to use Purple Head’s singular power properly: it is allowed to be one of the two options, the solid purple sticky one or the slippery, fast-gliding ice one, at any given time, but you cannot be both simultaneously.
How to Play Icy Purple Head
It’s simple and all about quick reflexes! Basically, you just click and hold (or press and hold if using a mobile device) the mouse button to go into ice form, and let go to return to purple form.
To turn into Ice: Click and hold the left mouse button. When Icy Purple Head, you will slide really quickly on surfaces! This is great for gaining speed on the super slide and taking out blue birds.
To turn into Purple: Let go of the left mouse button. While in the purple form, you will stick to the purple platforms, and will be able to safely take out purple birds.
Your objective: Strategically switch between the two versions, avoiding dangers such as lasers and icicles, and get Purple Head safely into the delivery box at the end of each level.
If you are playing the popular version on Math Playground, such as Icy Purple Head 1 Math Playground or Icy Purple Head 2, the instructions remain the same: slide, stick, and solve the puzzle!

How to Beat Icy Purple Head Levels
To beat a level in Icy Purple Head or its different versions, you need a combination of strategy and timing:
- Look Ahead: Path to sliding should be looked at even before starting to slide. Figure out where you need to stick (purple platforms) and where you need to slide (long paths or to dodge obstacles).
- Master the Toggle: Switching quickly is what gets you through. Work on your rapid taps until you have complete control of your momentum. There are times when just a tiny tap will suffice to get you sliding past an icicle or laser.
- Use Ice to Fly: Acquire more speed on a ramp or hill by transforming into the ice form. The momentum that results can then be used to “jump” or “fly” over big gaps that you are unable to cross otherwise.
- Don’t Rush: Although speed is necessary when sliding, the puzzle elements still require you to think carefully. If you are stuck on Icy Purple Head 3, then it is a good idea to take a break from thinking and come back later with a fresh perspective.
